Dear Brothers: I must inform you that the Archbishop of Santo Domingo, Monsignor Francisco Ozoria Acosta, communicated to us on the 24th of this present month of February, in a conversation held with the Auxiliary Bishop of Santiago, Monsignor Plinio Reynoso Hidalgo, MSC, Vice-Postulator of the Cause, in the presence of the General Postulator of the Cause, come from Rome, Father Jean Jules Chassen, MSC, of Sister Eulalia Rodríguez, HCCS, a religious Sister of Cardinal Sancha, notary actuary, and the undersigned, that he had placed on his agenda for Friday, the seventeenth (17) of March 2023, at 3:00 p.m., the liturgical act to be celebrated in the Cathedral of Santa María de la Encarnación, in which he will make the announcement corresponding to the fact that the instructive procedure concerning the life, heroic virtues and fame of holiness of the Servant of God Emiliano Tardif, MSC, has been definitively closed in its diocesan phase.
This act, together with the delivery of the sealed and closed file for its sending to the Congregation for the Causes of Saints in Rome, would put an end to this first diocesan part of the Cause of beatification and canonization of our unforgettable Father Emiliano Tardif, and opens the doors so that, in the not too distant future, and with the favour of God, he may be declared Venerable.
